　　Hengyuan Carbon Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hengyuan Carbon Materials") was established in 2021 and is a holding company of Shandong Hengyuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. It is located in the provincial-level chemical industry park of Linyi County. The company is mainly positioned for the comprehensive development of oil-based carbon materials, with a focus on extending to the high-end carbon materials and carbon materials industry chain. It produces high-precision and cutting-edge market demand products such as ultra-high power graphite electrodes, negative electrode materials for power batteries, graphite products, asphalt based carbon fibers, intermediate phase asphalt, isostatic pressed graphite, impregnated asphalt, coated asphalt, black carbon black, white carbon black, carbon fiber felt, etc.

　　The company has a registered capital of 1.05 billion yuan, covers an area of 195 acres, and has more than 560 employees. It has 12 sets of main and auxiliary equipment, such as 550,000 tons/year oil slurry desolidifying, 550,000 tons/year supercritical extraction, 400,000 tons/year aromatic-rich oil hydrorefining, 200,000 tons/year special oil hydrorefining, 180,000 tons/year needle coke, 150,000 tons/year raw coke calcination, etc. and 18 public and auxiliary system units. The raw materials of its process flow have gone through the stage of "oil slurry desolidification + supercritical extraction + aroma-rich refining + needle coke + calcination", producing more than ten kinds of products such as needle coke (cooked coke), lithium battery anode material, asphalt components, rubber plasticizer, industrial white oil, liquefied gas, sulfur.

　　At the same time, in order to enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprise, the company has built a high-end carbon materials research institute to guide production and processing with scientific research results, and promote experimental research and development with process data. In order to achieve the technical support of the project, and in conjunction with the effective connection of the upstream and downstream of the entire carbon material industry chain and the orderly development of products, we have linked up with the State key laboratories of well-known domestic universities and adopted the form of cooperative outsourcing, focusing on the research and development of a number of technologies such as silicon carbon composite lithium anode materials, colloidal asphalt, third-generation semiconductors and other subsequent development and application technologies.At present, the company has  obtained 4 invention patents, such as "a production method of needle coke", "a nitrogen-doped lithium ion battery carbon-silicon anode material and its preparation method", and 16 utility model patents.

　　In February 2022, the high-end carbon material industrial park project with an investment of 4.098 billion yuan was launched. In December 2023, it was officially put into trial operation, producing the first tower of oil needle coke, whose products have been strictly tested and fully reached the design index. The needle coke has the characteristics of high true density, high particle strength, low thermal expansion coefficient, low sulfur and nitrogen content, low volatility and ash content, stable resistivity, etc., which fully meet the requirements of producing ultra-high power graphite electrodes.
